Whole Fried Turkey

One 12 to 14 lb. turkey, thawed and dried
2 1/2 gallons Lou Ana Peanut Oil

 

 
 

Season outside of turkey and cavity of turkey as you wish.  (Salt, pepper, garlic, etc.)
Heat Lou Ana Peanut Oil in turkey pot for 15 minutes.
Measure with water beforehand the exact amount of oil
needed to cover the turkey.  Very carefully lower the turkey
slowly into the hot oil.  Fry about 3.5 minutes per pound.
For example, you would fry a 12 pound turkey for 42 minutes.
Do not fry a turkey larger than 14 lbs. as it will not cook through.

Carefully lift turkey, letting oil drain from cavity.  Let sit for 10 minutes.
Carve and serve.
