Beer Bread

12 oz. can of beer
2 cups self-rising flour
2 cups sugar
1 stick butter

 

 
 
Must have 10" pan with at least 3 inch sides.  A cast iron pot works well.
Grease pan or spray with pan spray.  In mixing bowl, combine beer, flour, and sugar.
Mix well, pour in pan. 
Bake at 350 for 45 minutes.  Add stick of butter to top of bread making sure butter
melts evenly across bread.  Bake an additional 15 minutes.
